A teacher is entering the classroom. His back is round, his head is stuck between his shoulders. His eyes are roaming around the room and he is holding his hands together. It makes no more sense to start the lesson.
Our bodies reveal much more than we think. Our inner state, our feelings, even our thoughts — everything is visible! More than that: the body tells us things about ourselves that we are not even aware of. The body is the best psychoanalyst.
We do perceive the body language of others — but rarely consciously. We can learn to do this with a greater awareness. And vice versa: what effect does it have on my mental state if I consciously change my posture? With our bodies, we write our history.
