Painting and graphics

Drawing is a basic form of violence. Our ancestors scraped the rocks with a stone, carved the bark with a knife and injured the skin with a needle. We all leave traces behind. Graffiti. Graffiare means scratching.

I scratch everything. I scratch zinc and copper with steel gravers just to perpetuate the damaged plates on a white sudarium. I scratch wood. I scratch brown-grey paper with a sharp pencil. I know it's sick: compulsive scratching!

I am taking a colour. You can’t scratch with a brush. You stroke. The paint supersedes the violence and sublimates my erotic drive. The shapes are becoming sensual.
