Who am I? I ask myself this question on stage, when painting or drawing, when speaking or listening, when teaching and in between.
I'm not looking for a clever answer. Every definition restricts. All I have is my self-experience. And the experience of others. Sensuality? Not only that: a play between sensuality and intellectuality.
Science acts as a source of my inspiration. I cooperate with zoologists, anthropologists, psychologists and philosophers. There is a bunch of crocodile drawings and a portrait of Sigmund Freud hanging over my desk.
So who am I then? A human? An animal? As the reader has already noticed, I belong to the primate order. But there are not only primates in this world. The problems of interspecific relationships build a focus of my investigations.
Information about my current theatre anthropological research in South Africa will appear here shortly...
